Smaller Editorials

2021

This is a collection of some of my shorter editorial projects.

The first editorial's goal was to explore a hidden story behind an object. As a big fan of games, I decided to focus on my favourite game at the time: God of War. I decided to write about how the game has a set story the player can interact with, but that there are hundreds of stories made by the developers behind it that many users often ignore.

The second editorial discusses categories on D&AD and how many often merge into each other, and that while a project can predominantly belong to one category it will always include bits of others. Apart from that, I have also discussed how game design can also be called interactive visual design: the mixture of telling stories through mechanics and visuals.

The third editorial discusses the grand circle of collaboration around Critical Role: from the backstage crew to the team of voice actors, to their collaborators and fans.

The fourth editorial explores the usability of Florence Nightingale's rose diagram and discusses its benefits and issues. The editorial uses shapes and colours from the original diagram in order to bring both narratives together.
