When Eagles Flew to London

2021

When Eagles Flew to London was a 4-week long academic project during which I spent 2 weeks researching the topic of Polish immigration to the UK, with a focus on London, wrote a 2k+ word essay, and then spent the remaining 2 weeks turning my findings into a fitting editorial.

At first, this project was designed in the form of a brochure, but with the help of my lecturers at Falmouth University I realized the outcome was not very fitting to the content and could have been taken further. As my essay was focusing quite heavily on the past, I decided to create a history book; but with a twist.

As to make the identity of my project stronger, I decided to create a whole brand around it: the book is designed after a Polish passport and comes with a passport-like notebook where one can note down their own experiences and thoughts; bookmarks one can take everywhere and use in other books; and, the whole collection comes in a little luggage that can also be used for storing other items.

The whole collection was about capturing the spirit of travelling by allowing users to take bits of the collection with them anywhere and enabling them to continue creating their own history.

Mockups used: Book, Passport, Suitcase, Brochure
