Flowers for the Gods

2019-20

Flowers for the Gods was a 6-month long academic project during which I designed and created a fully functioning 25 minutes long visual novel and fully documented the process behind it.

In the game, the player takes the role of Lia, who lives in a spirit-inhabited forest and is on a daily mission to collect flowers before the end of day in order to keep the gods happy.

The game discusses topics such as friendships and relationships, depression, anxiety, isolation, fear of failure and more.

During this project, I designed all of the characters, environments, narrative, dialogue, and UI, and programmed the game using Unity. Apart from that, I was also writing monthly documentation including descriptions of my process, inspiration, and more.
